LOS ANGELES MISSION COLLEGE STUDENT SERVICES CENTER
The Los Angeles Mission College Student Services Center is a 12,600 square foot building that is designed to blend with the architecture of the rest of the campus. The Center is situated in the middle of the campus and is easily accessible from all locations of the campus. The clock tower marks the entrance to the Center.
The Student Services Center welcomes individuals as they enter the building by providing a grand, but human scaled sky lighted atrium. The central information desk is centrally located in the naturally lit main open atrium. The lobby is surrounded by Admissions, Financial Aid, Counseling and EOPS Self-help computerized kiosks. The lobby space is flexible enough to allow for peak registration demands, while remaining inviting for every day use.
This project was completed by James Fortunes AIA while at DDA.
